The summer of 2021, we will probably remember it for a long time: at the time, to go on vacation outside the French borders, it was sometimes necessary to provide a negative Covid-19 test certificate (or a certificate of recovery) in addition to its vaccination certificate… A whole organization!
This period is (fortunately) over, since since this Friday, June 30, 2023, it is no longer possible to retrieve a test certificate or a recovery certificate via the TousAntiCovid application – now, after a PCR or antigen test intended to screen the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, medical analysis laboratories will simply issue a report of results, as after any blood test.
The end of the TousAntiCovid application
In addition, from now on, only the results of the PCR tests (carried out by the laboratories, therefore) will be reported to the health authorities in order to continue to monitor the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Antigenic tests (carried out by pharmacists) will no longer be listed.
Good news ? No doubt, since it marks the end of a stressful time – this Friday, June 30, 2023, the TousAntiCovid application has also been “put to sleep” (understand: it will no longer be updated).
On the other hand, the disappearance of the test and recovery certificates could complicate the life of people who seek proof of their contamination with the Covid-19 virus – for example, in the event of suspected long Covid. Indeed: the certificates produced in the past have been destroyed in order to protect user data…
As a reminder, since March 1, 2023, PCR and antigen tests intended to detect Covid-19 are no longer 100% reimbursed by Health Insurance, except for certain categories of the population – minors, people aged at least 65 years old, immunocompromised patients…
