For nearly a year, researchers at Boston Children’s Hospital followed 224 children daily. During this experiment, they replaced their usual sugary drinks with sodas without sugar and therefore without calories. Unlike teenagers who consumed sugary drinks, these patients gained two pounds less and kept their body mass index stable.
To fight againstobesityit therefore seems essential to reduce the consumption of sugary products and to teach adolescents suffering from this disease to choose products adapted to their desires but minimizing the calories to modify their eating habits.
But, is it necessary to consume light products, rich in aspartame and others additives whose effects on the body are not really known?
In the United States, sugary drinks and their XXL formats are the food products having the greatest impact on the weight of young people. 17% of the caloric intake of American teenagers comes from these beverages with a high sugar content. Proportions without common measure with our feedsince Americans consume nearly 4.5 times more sodas and fruit juices than the French.
