The signatories (Andros, Charles Faraud, Conserves France-St Mamet, Hero France and Materne) of this charter have notably undertaken to reduce the added sugar content of their products by 2010.
They also indicated that they would promote the consumption of low-sugar products, as well as fruit by the French.
In 2010, the manufacturers wish that “the whole of the offer of the committed marks is passed under the bar of the 60% of sugars” in the jams, according to the fruits concerned. The other major objective would be that 90% of fruits in syrup offered on the market contain less than 17.5% sugar, compared to 18.5% today.
