Why go to a course when you can also play in your living room with a complete golf simulator? Because it costs tens of thousands of euros, that’s why!
If you are crazy about golf but don’t feel like going to a course every time, then Foresight Sports something for you: your own golf course at home. The company’s simulators let you play with a real ball and club, but in the middle of your living room.
Golf Simulator 2.0
The company sells several configurations. For the most complete experience you need about €32,000. You can build a real golf course for that, so to speak. But hey, you can work on your swing from home for as long as you like, regardless of the weather!
What do Foresight’s golf simulators do? The idea is that you can order all of them in one package to build a golf course in your home. So everything is included in the most expensive package, including:
- Grass mat for under the feet
- Impact screen to project (and collect balls)
- Beamer for the immersion
- GCHAwk launch monitor to analyze the speed, angle and direction of the ball
- Game PC to run the simulator on
- Simulation software to bring it all together
The same sensors that can be used to analyze your swing also work with, for example, footballs. So you can also kick a ball hard against the screen and watch your free kick fly in a virtual environment.
The brand’s golf simulator is also available in less expensive packages. The cheapest package costs roughly €10,000 and consists of a turf, a sensor and a net construction. The software still allows you to see how good your swing is, but it won’t be simulated through a large beamer.
