Out of dissatisfaction with the economy in Gran Turismo 7, gamers have found an alternative way to earn a lot of money.
Gran Turismo 7 is a great racing game, as you could read in our review. But the economics in the game are unfortunately much less well put together. Some cars, such as the McLaren F1, costs more than 15 million credits. If you play in a normal way, it would take months before you have gathered those 15 million. And that for one car.
Race payouts are insanely low, which is why it takes so long. Since update 1.08, the in-game payouts have been drastically reduced. This led to much dissatisfaction. Gamers felt that Polyphony Digital is pushing players towards microtransactions.
There are passive ways to earn money in the game without actually having to race yourself. By tying an elastic band around your controller you can let the car race itself in Gran Turismo 7 and still earn money.
It’s not the way it should be, but Polyphony Digital is instinctively pushing gamers in this direction. Otherwise you will never be able to afford that dream car, due to the ridiculously high purchase prices in the game. Check out the video below to see an example. This method works at the time of writing.
