We need more research into the causes of cancer.” The organization now recommends setting up an active surveillance plan and preventive actions. The first is to maintain surveillance of new cases of declared pediatric cancer. In the Pornic Agglo Pays de Retz agglomeration community, a local health contract should be established to develop preventive actions such as improving indoor air quality, reducing exposure to pesticides or fight against unfit housing. A campaign to measure exposure to pesticides recently started in Sainte-Pazanne for a period of one year.
