You will have less to do with advertising on Samsung with the brand’s own apps.
You may not have noticed, but Samsung shows advertising in the brand’s own apps. This includes Samsung Music, Pay, Weather and more. If you do not use these applications, you will of course not notice anything, but the South Korean tech giant used its own apps to show advertisements to users.
This was about own advertising, to draw attention to products or services of Samsung itself. It is therefore not the case that advertising space was sold to third parties. Nevertheless, Samsung stops showing advertising in its own apps. Samsung CEO TM Roh would have said this during an online meeting with employees of the company.
The South Korean tech giant would like to listen more closely to what customers and employees want from the company. Ultimately, it benefits the user. Advertising in apps is something we know from brands like Xiaomi, for example. This Chinese brand makes cheap smartphones, but there is advertising in the OS in return.
The advertising in Samsung apps did not disappear the next day. But in the near future you should not expect any advertisements for Samsung products in the apps of the brand. (through SamMobile)
