In its latest bulletin, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control announced that 9,836 cases of coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV) had been laboratory confirmed in China and 213 people had succumbed to the virus, contagious even during its incubation period, which lasts up to 14 days.
Abroad, cases have been reported in the following countries:
- Asia: Thailand (14), Japan (14), Singapore (13), Taiwan (9), Malaysia (8), Republic of Korea (7), United Arab Emirates (4), Vietnam (5), Cambodia (1), Nepal (1), Philippines (1), India (1) and Sri Lanka (1).
- Europe: France (6), Germany (5), Italy (2), Finland (1) and United Kingdom (2).
- America: United States (6) and Canada (3).
- Oceania: Australia (9).
In France, in addition to the 6th case recorded last night (a liberal doctor contaminated by one of his patients who has since returned to China), a 7th case could well be recorded because one of the passengers of the plane which repatriates French nationals from Wuhan , shows symptoms of infection.
