Microsoft and AMD will both release an update for Windows 11 PCs running on AMD processors in the coming days. Earlier it was revealed that computers with AMD CPUs performed slower after the update to Windows 11.
First is It’s Microsoft’s turn, which is rolling out a new fix for the issue tomorrow (October 19) as part of Patch Tuesday. It comes in automatically via the Windows Update route. Incidentally, it is the second time that the company has released a patch for this specific shortcoming. Last week’s update turned out to exacerbate the issue.
In addition, AMD is also coming up with a solution that October 21 next is planned. This update arrives through the AMD driver software. The slower performance has to do with the way tasks are distributed among the different processor cores. AMD’s patch aims to rectify this.
Complications
Before Windows 11 was released on October 5, it had been tested by Windows Insiders for months. But due to the complexity of an operating system, all errors are never noticed in time.
