Without a big spoiler and splitter
Chevrolet showed off the Corvette Z06 C8 in a short social media video. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans we could already see a camouflaged example of the new and improved Z06. There we were also told that the curtain will officially be pulled from the new model on October 26.
Not much is known about the new super-Corvette yet, but if we are to believe the rumor mill, it will get a 5.5-litre V8 with a flat crankshaft. The Stingray still uses a 6.2-litre LT2 engine according to the ‘old recipe’. The previous generation Z06 was already a huge improvement over the regular model, so expect many upgrades again.
Look for the differences
The camouflaged car we saw at Le Mans had a large spoiler and a shin-breaking splitter. Those features are missing on the car we see in the teaser now. In that silver color he also seems to be a little less screaming. And judging by the differences between the Le Mans car and this teaser, it looks like (as before) an optional Z07 performance package will be available to order on this Z06. Either way, it will be a lot more affordable in the United States than it is here.
