If you’re a fan of Squid Game, you’ll love the same director’s movies, they’re now on Netflix.
We immediately come up with a disclaimer. Netflix has only included the films of director Hwang Dong-hyuk in the American offer. Searching for the titles from the Dutch Netflix app unfortunately does not yield any results. So you will have to work with a VPN to access the American library of Netflix.
These are three films that are included in the Netflix US offer, directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. Because if you thought Squid Game was this director’s first rodeo, you’re wrong. He also has a number of South Korean films to his credit. The three titles by Netflix have been added are three completely different films. Great for a change!
Silenced is the first title. This film revolves around a teacher who learns that students are being mistreated at school. When he searches for the truth, he encounters a nasty confrontation.
The second movie is Miss Granny. In this film, there is a 74-year-old woman who miraculously manages to escape old age. She walks into a strange photo studio and walks out as a 20-year-old young lady. How?
And the third title created by the Squid Game creator and now available on Netflix US is The Fortress. This film is set in the 17th century. As the name gives away, the title is largely set in a forest, where Korea faced an invasion during the Qing dynasty.
