A healthy and balanced diet is not necessarily synonymous with restriction or gloom. We are going to put aside received ideas and focus on a few fundamental rules of eating well.
Food should provide us with the nutrients we need to be fit, stay healthy and have plenty of energy. It would be a shame to deprive yourself of it.
