Indeed a system, developed by a company based in Oxford, called Brainomix e-Stroke, reduces the diagnosis by more than an hour and allows you to quickly choose the most suitable treatment. Used in 111,000 cases of suspected stroke in the UK, it has significantly increased the rate of patients who suffer no or mild disability following a stroke. This figure has thus increased from 16 to 48%.
“Every minute saved during the initial in-hospital assessment of people with stroke symptoms dramatically improves a patient’s chances of leaving the hospital healthy“, asserted in a press release Dr. Timothy Ferris, director of transformation within the British public health system (NHS).
In effect, for every minute elapsed after a stroke (an artery in the brain that becomes clogged in 80% of cases), nearly 2 million brain cells die, with a risk of irreversible damage and severe disability.

The platform helps doctors in the interpretation of brain scans and allows them to share the images with specialists around the world who can access them remotely.
