Stop stop, police
With a circumference of 34 kilometers, the best pursuit tactic on the Greek island of Chalki is simply to wait. The villain eventually comes back to you and then you grab them. The perfect car for this job? The cute Citroen Ami. The Greek island with more than 300 inhabitants will use the electric car to catch crooks. Yes, the Citroën Ami is now a police car.
Chalki wants to become the first eco-island in Greece. Citroën is happy to help with this and donates six EVs to the local authorities. One Ami goes to the police and the other goes to the Coast Guard. In addition to the Ami, Citroën is donating two ë-Jumpys and two ë-C4’s. In terms of range, you should in any case be able to handle these electric vehicles on the island – even with a chase.
Is the Citroën Ami suitable as a police car?
We bet that the Ami’s are mainly used to write out traffic tickets and the like, although there is a tiny cute flashing light on the roof. The Citroën Ami has a range of 75 kilometers, a power of 8 hp and a top speed of 45 km/h. In the Netherlands you can also buy it for 6,900 euros or rent it for a price to be determined. As far as we know, the Amsterdam police have not shown any interest yet.
