Netflix has finally announced whether or not there will be a sequel to the South Korean series Squid Game.
Chances are you’ve seen Squid Game. The popular series on Netflix caused a hype worldwide. We won’t say spoilers if you still haven’t seen the show, but the fact is that the ending is interesting. With room for a sequel. The makers did that deliberately, of course. In later interviews, the director indicated that there was going to be a season two. But Netflix is in charge and the American streaming service will determine whether there will be a sequel to Squid Game or not.
The high word is now out. After months of silence, Netflix has given the green light for a sequel to Suid Game. The words came from Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos when asked a question. He also had hopeful words for the real fans. He states that the Suid Game universe has only just opened. In short, the expectation is not that it will stay with a second season. Maybe there will also be a third or fourth season or a spin-off.
It is not yet known when the second season of Squid Game will be released on Netflix. The first season launched in 2021 and has been raved about. (through variety)
