As expected, the Mercedes EQS passes into the hands of the AMG preparer to satisfy sports enthusiasts. The sedan develops 658 hp for the base version 53 4Matic +, and climbs to 761 hp with the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package.
We expected it, it is now official: the Mercedes-AMG EQS has just been presented on the eve of the opening of the Munich show. And as we announced to you, the dress of this sporty electric sedan is quite discreet. Review details of what changes between “The angel” Mercedes EQS and its “demonic” double, the AMG EQS 53 4Matic +.
The EQS is the first 100% electric model of the sports division of Affalterbach. It is aesthetically distinguished by some elements specific to AMG such as the specific Panamericana grille with vertical slats. But this time around, the grille block is full and glossy black like on the classic EQS. At the rear, a small spoiler is placed on the trunk, while underbody and shiny black bodywork elements (front splitter, six-fin diffuser at the rear…) reworked replace those of the EQS.
Increased sportiness for the EQS revised by AMG
It is on the technical side that the changes are most notable. Already powerful with its two versions of 333 and 524 hp, the Mercedes EQS takes it up a notch in this variant offered by AMG. Always equipped with two engines, the electric sports car goes up to 484 kW, or 658 hp, in its basic version 53 4Matic +. The maximum torque is fixed at 950 Nm.
But that’s not all ! Mercedes-AMG also offers an optional AMG Dynamic Plus Pack, which further raises the bar. Thanks to him, the cumulative power increases to 560 kW, i.e. 761 hp maximum. Torque jumps to 1,020 Nm. With the optional pack, 0 to 100 km / h goes from 3.8 s to 3.4 s, but only if the battery is charged to more than 80%. The top speed is also variable, from 220 km / h to 250 km / h depending on the optional packs.

The autonomy given by the brand is 526 to 580 km according to the WLTP cycle. But it could be much less in reality depending on the use of the conductors …
