All details about the new series House of the Dragon on HBO Max have been revealed.
All that long wait is coming to an end. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel. House of The Dragon, the Game of Thrones spin-off, will be released on HBO Max on August 22. Since HBO Max has recently become available in the Netherlands, you can start watching right away.
House of the Dragon is based on Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin. The series takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.
The cast includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel and Rhys Ifans
George RR Martin is involved in the series as co-creator and executive producer. He gets Ryan Condal by his side as the show’s executive producer, showrunner and writer. Other names include Sara Hess, Jocelyn Diaz, Vince Gerardis, Ron Schmidt, Clare Kilner, Geeta V. Patel and Greg Yaitanes.
The first season of House of the Dragon contains 10 episodes. After the highly criticized ending of Game of Thrones, it remains to be seen what fans will think of this spin-off. Maybe it helps that the show is set before the events of GoT.
