The developers of id Software are inextricably linked with the rise and popularization of 3D shooters through the eyes of the hero. After the great successes of Wolfenstein 3D (1992) and Doom (1993), Quake followed in 1996, which once again pushed the boundaries of graphic possibilities. Several versions of the latter title followed and recently the game went into its umpteenth life with Quake Champions. Although you can spend money on it, this new addition to the Quake family is perfectly free to play. The fierce shootings of yesteryear now take place with even more beautiful graphics than ever.
