It’s over with the DS 4 at less than €30,000. The French premium compact sees its prices increase by several hundred euros and now starts at €30,100. It remains offered in petrol, diesel and rechargeable hybrid in a multitude of configurations.
Available to order since May 2021, the new DS 4 is already undergoing its second price increase. Its base price now exceeds €30,000, from €100. In detail, this second increase amounts to €500 for the 100% thermal versions and €300 for the rechargeable hybrid.
No change should be noted on the equipment side, except that the Air Quality System adaptive air filtration system becomes optional (200 €) for the Performance Line + finish which benefited from it as standard until now. Diesel still escapes any basic ecological malus; the minimum tax on petrol models ranges from €210 to €898 after roughly doubling with the introduction of the 2022 scale.
Spoiled for choice
The DS 4 catalog remains very extensive. The offer is divided between the classic DS 4, the Cross version with SUV-style body protection, and the sporty Performance Line model. The compact in standard body has finishes named Bastille, Bastille +, Trocadero and Rivoli. The Cross version is only available with the last two. The Performance Line configuration is positioned at the third level of the allocation grid as an alternative to Trocadéro, and a Performance Line + version is placed above. To top it all off, the limited La Première launch series is still available.

The standard equipment of the DS 4 Bastille includes in particular:

To be entitled to alloy wheels of the same diameter as well as a reversing radar, you must opt for the Bastille + finish. This is the first available for the E-Tense 225 rechargeable hybrid engine which automatically benefits from adaptive damping with Active Scan Suspension camera. This equipment is also fitted as standard on board the DS 4 La Première, regardless of the powertrain. For all other versions, this is an option charged at €1,100 (excluding Bastille because it is unavailable).

A tech-driven mid-range
In Trocadero configuration, the DS 4 offers, among other things:
- head-up display
- reversing camera
- front parking radar
- voice assistant
- rear vents
- 2 rear USB ports
- flush door handles with proximity sensors
- 19 inch alloy wheels
Benefiting from the same equipment, the DS 4 Performance Line is distinguished mainly by its gloss black bodywork details, black Alcantara upholstery and aluminum pedals. On the other hand, it does without retractable handles.
