Popular navigation app Waze is adding Apple Music to their app, making listening to music while driving even easier.
Driving and listening to music is a great combination. If you can unabashedly sing along to bad 80s hits, it’s your own bubble. So it’s nice if a music app does a bit of work in your car. Which is somewhat debatable when it comes to sitting in your navigation system.
Waze
Because once it’s opened, you can’t access your music anymore. Unless you are going to play with your screen and that is of course not the intention. Navigation app Waze found a solution: integration with Spotify. Waze and Spotify work together so you no longer have to leave Waze to adjust your music. Pretty handy, but Waze only works with Spotify, not with Apple Music yet. Until now then.
Apple Music
Help is at hand for the avid iPhone user who has Apple Music. Apple Music is also integrated into Waze. At least, it’s already integrated. The latest update to Waze brought the ability to link Apple Music to the navigation and control music from Waze. Handy to have that choice.
How it works? Easy. From Waze, you will be redirected to Apple Music. Log in, enter your details, give permission and a music icon will appear at the top of your screen when you open Waze. It already works from there. It couldn’t be easier.
If you don’t know Waze, it’s a navigation app like they all are, but controlled by drivers in real-time. Spontaneous actions such as accidents, traffic jams, stationary cars, road works and much more can be reported live and other Waze users can also see them.
