This site was set up by the pharmaceutical group Boehringer Ingelheim, in association with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Internet users will be able to discover the main symptoms of the disease but also information on screening and measurement of pulmonary age.Micro sidewalks, definitions, questions / answers, general information … The new site dedicated to COPD disease allows to anticipate the disease, which is often unknown to the general public. Thanks to this initiative, individuals will be able to find a lot of information on the measurement of the age of their lungs, but also to be interested in the first symptoms of the disease and to know the means to detect it as early as possible.
Note that the COPD disease, which affects 2 to 4 million people in France, causes a gradual degradation of respiratory function. Mainly linked to the consumption of tobacco, “the disease COPD exposes to acute episodes of worsening of the respiratory state, the exacerbations, which lead to hospitalizations, even death”, specifies a press release.
