For several years, La Poste has been seeking to expand its range of digital and health services. The group will this year be one of the exhibitors at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. In particular, he will present his new application: “La Poste eSanté”.
Available free of charge on smartphones and tablets, this application dedicated to digital health will make it possible to make the link between the patients, the connected objects (watch, scale, thermometer, insulin pump, etc.) and healthcare professionals.
Secure data storage
“La Poste eSanté” is similar to a digital health record. All the data collected by the application can be used to send alerts such as vaccine reminders or exceeding certain thresholds (weight, blood sugar, etc.). All this information will be stored in a digital health space announced as being ultra-secure. The data may, for those who wish, be sent to a doctor or hospital in order to facilitate monitoring and prevention.
La Poste also intends to offer this type of application to hospitals in order to better ensure remote monitoring of patients who suffer from chronic illness or after an operation. Tests are currently underway, notably at the Bichat hospital in Paris, and the first results will be presented at CES.
